Sheils & Company expanded to open a further Ford dealership on the Ennis Road, Co Limerick and was taken over by Thomas’s son, Ted Sheils, and later succeeded by his son, Thomas Sheils. In 2013, T.Sheils & Company acquired the Honda franchise in their Ennis and Limerick dealerships. In December 2018, the company acquired Higgins Motorpark in Galway City to become one of Ireland’s largest Ford dealer groups and Ireland’s largest Honda group by area.
